My personal experience is that God is love, peace, joy, and truth, and that God is everywhere, both within us and all around us. When our hearts are open to love, compassion and kindness toward ourselves and others, we experience the fullness of God within us and the safety of being within God. Upon receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit, the believer becomes a begotten child of God the Father. The baptism of the Holy Spirit places the believer into the spiritual Church of God, the Body of Jesus Christ, of which all begotten children of God are members. Scriptural References. Matt. Acts Acts Acts I Cor. Rom.   Invisibility: God’s total essence, all of his spiritual being, will never be able to be seen by us, yet he shows himself to us through visible, created things (1 Timothy ). Mental Attributes Knowledge (omniscience): God fully knows himself and all things actual and possible (past, present, and future) in one simple eternal act (1 John ).

A spiritual knowlege [sic] of God in Christ, comprehensive of all good and blessedness.: a sermon preached at Enfield, May 14th, Published at the desire of many hearers. A Biblical Guidebook for Spiritual Discernment By an author, and a wise discerning seeker.

Thank you for this thoroughly researched, insightful, and much needed comprehensive book on "Discernment." Your emphasis on balance in all areas, theologically, spiritually, and the "world, the flesh, and the devil" is excellent, thought provoking 5/5(1).

This is more than a book full of pretty pictures or scientific oddities. The woods are full of those. "Plain Sight" moves the reader to a deeper walk with God in Christ.

I like the book. It is good for the observant Christian and the seeker alike, anyone looking for a smart, honest and spiritual way to find faith in the invisible parts of creation/5(18). The benefits of knowing God are vast.

Knowing him is the summum bonum, the highest good out of which all good flows. One might ask, “How can we turn this study about God and the accumulated knowledge about comprehensive of all good and blessedness.

God can take any manure and from it grow a garden, as you participate in this promise by faith. While it may be impossible to imagine how God can bring good out of our train wreck of past and present failures, this is hardly a limiting factor.

For God can do “immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine” (Ephesians ). “We are looking for a comprehensive of all good and blessedness. book spirituality,” says Benjamin Riggs, author of Finding God in the Body: A Spiritual Path for the Modern West.

We are seeking a spiritual path that brings us down from ideology into actuality, from heady thoughts to bodily presence. All spiritual blessings come from God, so we must ask Him for them.

We have already seen that God has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, but that does not mean that we automatically experience these blessings.

We must desire these blessings and seek God for them, both for ourselves and for all of God File Size: 46KB. This book by Larry Osborne came recommended to me by my pastor. It was such a breath of fresh air. It is a book that describes a path to spirituality and knowing God that looks a lot different from the well-trod and well-signed routes/5.

God on Your Own is written for anyone who has left (or is thinking of leaving) organized religion but wants to continue on a spiritual path. For all ages and levels of Bible knowledge/5(5). Of course, all baptized Christians struggle with this for the duration of their Christian lives, but if we find ourselves continually giving in to fits of anger, sensual behavior, envy, etc., it is a sign that we are “people of the flesh, infants in Christ” (1 Cor.

One way we see this is in Exodus 6 where God tells Moses that He has heard their groaning in slavery and has remembered His covenant with them and says, “I will be your God and you will be my people, and I will dwell among you” (v. 7).All the promises of God find their Yes in Christ.

Every person that truly believes in Christ is being increasingly transformed into his likeness. Christ was speaking of a spiritual birth, a work of God accomplished in the individual by the Holy Spirit. Rather than separating spiritual, physical, financial, social, and other life components into distinct areas, Christian spirituality is concerned with how all of life connects to our relationship with God.

A born-again believer who is controlled by the Holy Spirit will exhibit sound speech, a consistent spiritual walk, and decision making based on the Word of God. Therefore, Christian spirituality involves a choice we make to “know and grow” in our daily relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ by submitting to the ministry of the Holy Spirit.

Spiritual maturity forms a basis for guidance. A third key to God's guidance is found in the book of Proverbs, where we read: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding: in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths."
